If there is too much, none of it will look stunning. First decide what wood you love, then keep a few pieces that complement it and change those that detract from it. For example, if you have luscious wood floors but your wainscoting is tired-looking, paint it to showcase your floors. You can also make your wood look better by separating floors from furniture with contrasting area rugs.
