Percy and Connie Emert from Jersey Shore, Pennslvania got the shock of their life on Sunday when they found a purple squirrel in a trap in their backyard -- and yes, it has been released back into the wild (it was trapped because the couple have bird feeders in their backyard and the squirrels constantly get into them).
No one has figured out yet why the squirrel is purple. Maybe it got into a can of paint?
