Tonya says...
Everything from chocolate to dairy to greasy foods has been blamed for breakouts, even though these items contribute to acne in only some people. Despite a lack of scientific evidence on the relationship between food and acne, there are, however, a few known vitamins that can help calm the situation. Up your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables for added vitamin C and beta carotene, and eat healthy, lean meats for zinc. Vitamin A has also been credited with improving acne. That said, it should be used (orally or topically) only under the care of a physician, as it can be toxic--especially to women who are pregnant.
