Q: I grew an herb garden this summer and, while it's been great having fresh herbs, I don't want to lose them through the winter. Can I bring them in the house?

Q: I like to have good scotch on hand, but a lot of single malts are too expensive. Is there an alternative?

Dick says...
Don't succumb to single malt hype. Yes, there are some fantastic single malts (not all are great, mind you), but you'll pay dearly. Choose nice blends that cost half as much—and will fool your snooty friends in a taste test. Try Té Bheag, Grant's or Johnnie Walker.
