Fans of Dirty Dancing can have the time of their life on Facebook, as Lionsgate has collaborated with Facebook to create a game based on the 1987 movie classic.
As The Wrap notes, the FB fan page for Dirty Dancing "has been an unexpected phenomenon for the studio, garnering over 10.9 million fans," and the studio wants to capitalize on that.
Lionsgate, which is also working on a remake of the film, used Toronto-based Social Game Universe to build an interactive experience set in a digital Catskills vacation spot, where "players will join the characters to build their own resorts, provide guests with activities and dances, spread romance, sample music from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack and generally have the time of their lives."
