Will & Kate Join East Africa Relief Effort

This will be Will and Kate's biggest charitable move yet.

St. Jame's Palace announced today Will and Kate are flying to Denmark next Wednesday (November 2nd) to visit UNICEF’s emergency supply centre in Copenhagen, which has a warehouse the size of three football pitches with essential supplies to be delivered to kids around the world.

There, Will and Kate will specifically learn more about the East Africa relief effort, and how the distribution of food and medical supplies works to Kenya, Somalia, Djibouti and Ethopia.

Not only that, but they will also join the aid effort by packing boxes of food and medical supplies heading to the famine-ravaged Somalia region, as well as other areas of Africa facing drought.

Will and Kate are joining the cause -- like other powerful figures such as Bono have -- to bring the world's attention to the terrible crisis in the Horn of Africa where tens of thousands are dying, and more than 2 million children are malnourished.

This will also mark their first overseas trip since visiting Canada and the United States in the summer. Africa, of course, has always been a spot of interest to Will. He's been there many times, and proposed to Kate in Kenya in 2010.

Great news that Will and Kate will be bringing more attention to this looming disaster happening there.
