Q: What are the pros and cons of our baby sleeping in bed with us?

Lezlie says...
Cons: Babies can keep you awake if you’re a light sleeper, they take up more room than you’d imagine and they put the kibosh on rowdy sex. Pros: Practised safely (you shouldn’t have pillows or blankets near the baby’s head, or have them near you if you’re drunk, stoned or on sedatives), co-sleeping allows you to (a) nurse or physically comfort a baby without getting out of bed, (b) respond more quickly to the crying newborn and (c) feel really gosh-darn nice.

Lezlie Lowe has two jobs: 1) freelance writer/broadcaster/researcher, and 2) mother of two young girls. Guess which is more difficult. Send her your parenting questions here.
