Thirty-two-year-old father Sameer Doshi went permanently blind a year ago after complications post cataract surgery.
But Doshi has a bucket list of achievements he wants to accomplish in life, and he won't let being blind get in the way.
Doshi is an engineer and as he describes on Reddit, "After returning to work, I needed a challenge since I couldn't play games. So I decided to learn to solve a Rubik's cube (while blind). I modified a cube using velcro, plastic gems, and Dora-the-Explorer puffy stickers."
And he hasn't stopped there. Not nearly.
"For my next challenge I'm going to run for, and win, a seat on the Illinois House of Representatives," he says.
"Even if you don't live in Illinois or the 82nd district, voting helps our democracy. Even if you're out of state you can volunteer or contribute to my PAC: IllinoisVisionForward."
